Print the flyer and you get in free to see NYC dream pop band Bell Hollow.
01:45am 14/09/2007

Bell Hollow's debut full-length, Foxgloves, infuses modern musical currents with a painfully rich romance between shadowy post-punk and shoegaze; the contemplative, bittersweet sensuality of the songs entrances and ensnares with an oceanic pull... Foxgloves has its classic touchstones (The Cure, The Chameleons, Cocteau Twins, The Smiths), but the sonic, thematic, and lyrical content on the album showcases Bell Hollow's original artistry, positioning them at the forefront of the new wave of dream pop.
- Kristen Sollee (The Big Takeover)

Now available for pre-order (ships 10/8/07) on five03 Records.

Check out sample clips of "Seven Sisters" and "Eyes Like Planets" on the band's MySpace.

New Elizabeth Fraser album!

mood: overjoyed
...so I've been a bit sentimental tonight in listening to old CT material.

I went back to the BU website for the first time in months, and of course Mr. Raymonde and Mr. Guthrie have been busy with current projects.

...and then I wondered...!!!!

"LATEST NEWS: NME have just announced that the debut solo album from Elizabeth Fraser is to be released in the Spring of 2007. Apparently the album will feature eight new tracks and one cover version. No titles have been given yet."

It's nice to see that _all_ of them are currently in action.

Hello all, my name is Anthony.
I really think Elizabeth Fraser should have a myspace account with some of her best solo tracks but I know that is illegal - is there any other way to make up a fan page with some of her mp3s??

Five03 recording artists Bell Hollow making our first appearance at The Mercury Lounge, with the astonishingly great post-punk combo from Brooklyn known as Blacklist (following at 9pm). The Merc is at 217 East Houston Street in NYC...

Four richly atmospheric songs that will take you places you've never been before.

Check out two of them right now on Bell Hollow’s MySpace (see below link): the cinematic title track "Sons of the Burgess Shale" and the pulsating nocturne "Bodies, Rest and Motion."

Available August 2006 on Five03 Records.

"Post-punk revival bands can leave me frustrated. They're a cliff notes version of a life-altering text. Bell Hollow is the next chapter in that text." - Basim Usmani

"Bell Hollow invokes all of the moody, ethereal elements of The Cure, Cocteau Twins and Radiohead." – The Big Takeover

"Sounds almost effortlessly like it's 1981 and The Comsat Angels are in town; the songs are brooding and burning with restrained passion." - Leonard's Lair

robin guthrie interview
06:55pm 26/03/2006
I am going to interview Robin Guthrie tomorrow morning. I'd like to solicit for question suggestions from the group. I've been a lifelong Cocteau Twins fan. I've also enjoyed listening to some of the Violet Indiana stuff. But I'm not nearly as versed in Robin Guthrie's post-CT career as I'd like to be. Would anyone like to suggest some interesting questions or points regarding this interview? I'm happy to read them! But be quick- the interview is in about 12 hours.
